Zen Amplifiers

Zen Amplifiers services, repairs, and restores vintage and boutique tube amplifiers from its base in the Triangle area of central NC, serving Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Pittsboro, and beyond. Founder Andy MacLean, a lifelong musician, brings more than 20 years of experience and has worked on just about every tube amp built since the 1940s.

Beyond classics from Fender, Marshall, Gibson, Vox, and Ampeg, Zen has deep knowledge of golden-age makers like Magnatone, Guild, Valco, Supro, Silvertone, and Danelectro, as well as modern hand-wired boutique amps and tube hifi amps. Zen also handles guitar and bass setups, pickup selection and replacement, and wiring repairs and modifications.
