GoodEarth Guitars is the work of Kit L. Bohannon, a Portland-based guitar artist and musician who brings a unique dual perspective to instrument services. As both a bassist and craftsman, Kit operates under the umbrella of GoodEarth Custom Concepts, specializing in custom guitar and bass builds with a focus on personalized instruments at accessible prices.

The shop offers custom guitar work including specialized paint finishes and automotive-style detailing that sets instruments apart from standard production models. Kit’s background as a performing musician informs his approach to instrument setup and customization, understanding firsthand what players need from their gear. His custom shop guitars and Bohannon basses reflect years of experience combining luthier skills with practical playing knowledge.

Located in Portland’s northeast neighborhoods, GoodEarth Guitars has built a following among musicians seeking personalized instrument work. The operation reflects Kit’s philosophy of creating high-end custom instruments without the typical custom shop price tag, making quality guitar work accessible to working musicians. For players looking for a guitar tech who understands instruments from a player’s perspective, Kit’s combined expertise as musician and craftsman offers that rare intersection of technical skill and musical insight.
