DB's Guitar Works

DB’s Guitar Works brings certified luthier expertise to Austin’s east side music scene. Operating since 2010, the shop handles repairs, modifications, and setups for electric and acoustic guitars as well as basses. The luthier behind DB’s Guitar Works has worked as a touring guitar tech with notable acts including Kurt Vile and The Black Angels, bringing road-tested knowledge to every instrument that comes through the door.

The shop prides itself on delivering high-quality guitar repair work with quick turnaround times at accessible prices. Services cover the full spectrum of guitar maintenance and modification needs, from basic setups and fretwork to more complex repairs. The combination of professional touring experience and formal luthier certification means instruments receive attention from someone who understands both the technical and practical demands musicians place on their gear.

Beyond the workbench, the DB’s Guitar Works luthier stays active in Austin’s music community, performing with local bands and maintaining connections throughout the scene. This hands-on involvement with live music keeps the shop grounded in real-world player needs and Austin’s distinctive musical culture.
