Lone Wolf Tube Amps is owner-operated by Lyle Koonts, a retired Sears electronics technician who opened his San Diego repair shop in 2008. Lyle specializes in vintage and rare amp repair, and has more recently expanded into handbuilt tube-driven effects pedals — overdrive and tremolo units built around real 12AX7 vacuum tubes that sound like small tube amps, because that’s essentially what they are.
