John Littlewood brings over 40 years of experience as a professional guitarist and amp tech to his Lansing, NC shop, originally known as Restless Repair and now operating as Littlewood Custom Amps. The business has evolved into a builder of 100% hand-crafted tube guitar amps, though John still accepts limited amplifier repair and restoration work on an appointment-only basis. As a Gibson Authorized Service Center, the shop is well-equipped to handle warranty and repair work on Gibson instruments. Additional authorized repair credentials include Mesa Engineering, Peavey, and U.S. Music Corp products — covering Marshall, Randall, and Eden amplifiers, as well as Washburn, Hagstrom, Parker, and Warwick instruments. John also distributes and installs Mercury Magnetics transformers and chokes, and performs reconing of instrument and sound reinforcement speakers. Vintage tube hi-fi repair is accepted, though modern hi-fi electronics are no longer serviced. Out-of-town customers shipping gear for amp repair should contact John directly before sending anything.
