Ventura Guitar Company brings serious credentials to guitar repair and custom builds in San Buenaventura. Owner and luthier Jackson Herrera has spent 15 years immersed in the instrument world, starting as a backline tech before working seven years at Guitar Center. He honed his craft at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, then landed positions at Fender and Guild Guitars, where he apprenticed under renowned builder Ren Ferguson. His work has reached the hands of artists from Guns N’ Roses, Goo Goo Dolls, and The Lumineers, among others. After two years building Master Series classical guitars at Cordoba’s Custom Shop, Jackson established Ventura Guitar Company in 2018.

The shop offers comprehensive repair services for most string instruments, from routine guitar setups and fretwork to pickup swaps and electronics upgrades. As a certified technician for Fender, Gretsch, Guild, and Cordoba, Jackson handles both electric and acoustic instrument repair. The shop also specializes in vintage guitar work and modification services.
