Texwest Amplification is an Urbana, Illinois tube amp repair and modification shop run by Wes Howard, a self-taught technician who has been working on amplifiers since the late 1990s. With no formal training schools available for tube amp repair, Howard learned the craft with the help of a local guru and built his expertise through years of hands-on work on his own amps and those of local guitarists.
