A 1997 graduate of the prestigious Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery, Pete developed his craft working in guitar repair shops in Kansas City before joining Paul Reed Smith Guitars in Maryland. During his tenure at PRS, he specialized in electric guitar manufacturing and played a key role in launching their acoustic guitar line as part of the elite Private Stock team.

In 2011, Pete founded Bowerbird Guitars, where he designed and built custom boutique instruments while providing comprehensive guitar repair services. His background in both production and custom guitar builds gives him unique insight into instrument construction and repair methodology. Since relocating to Sarasota in 2018, Pete has continued offering expert guitar setup, fretwork, and full instrument repair services on an appointment-only basis.

His experience spans the complete spectrum of guitar work, from routine maintenance and adjustments to complex structural repairs.
