Profile
Jack’s Guitarcheology has been saving guitars from the scrap pile since 2016, operating as a Nashville area guitar repair shop and vintage instrument specialist in Lebanon, Tennessee. Founded by Jack, a self-described “guitarcheologist,” the shop combines expert luthier services with a passion for preserving guitar history through restoration and repair work.
The shop specializes in vintage guitar work, particularly focusing on classic dimestore brands like Silvertone, Teisco, Kay, Harmony, Danelectro, and other quirky instruments from yesteryear. Jack and his team believe that maintaining and upcycling existing guitars represents the future of luthiery, approaching each repair and restoration as an act of preservation.
Beyond standard guitar repair and setup work, Jack’s Guitarcheology offers appraisals, consignment, and brokering services. The guitar tech team has developed expertise in unusual vintage pieces and modifications, including their signature rubber bridge-equipped vintage acoustic guitars. Their mission centers on keeping playable instruments out of landfills while maintaining honest, transparent communication with customers. The shop also stocks vintage guitar parts, accessories, and a curated selection of weirdo and specialty guitars spanning vintage to modern eras.
