Hot Rod 6 Strings is the Brookfield workshop of master luthier Chris Tatalias, whose passion for guitar building was ignited by the legendary players of the ’70s and ’80s. After honing his craft at California’s Hosono Guitar Works, Tatalias returned to Connecticut to establish a full-service guitar repair and custom shop that has become known throughout the region for meticulous vintage guitar work and precision fretwork.

The shop handles everything from pro-level setups and complete refrets to structural crack repairs and total electronics rewiring. Tatalias and his team are authorized installers for premium brands like Hipshot and Seymour Duncan, bringing master-level expertise to every instrument that crosses their bench. Beyond repairs, Hot Rod 6 Strings specializes in custom and boutique guitar builds, including the shop’s signature Tatalias Guitars line launched in 2007. These handcrafted, American-made instruments showcase the fusion of traditional luthier techniques with modern playability.
