Guitar Repair Services in Scotch Plains was founded by Bobby Longo in 2014, bringing together over 40 years of passion for fretted instruments. Inspired by the guitar innovations of the ’70s and ’80s‚particularly Eddie Van Halen’s iconic Frankenstrat‚Longo spent years building custom guitars before pursuing formal training at The Eastern School of Fretted Instrument Repair in Freehold under Joseph Civitano and Kyle Roggendorff.

The Scotch Plains location, opened in March 2017, operates by appointment only and serves as a full-service facility for guitar repair and instrument maintenance throughout Union County and the surrounding Tri-State area. The shop’s motto, “We do the repairs others won’t,” reflects Longo’s commitment to tackling challenging work that other guitar techs might turn away.

Services span the complete spectrum of luthier work, including professional setups, fretwork and refretting, headstock repairs, nut replacement, saddle fabrication, pickup installation, and electronics repair.
