Deepwood Music brings over a decade of stringed instrument expertise to the Eugene area, led by luthier and restoration specialist Carson Wille. A sixth-generation woodworker, Carson honed his craft through an apprenticeship at The Troubadour Music Center before graduating from the prestigious Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery. His professional experience includes performing final setups and fretwork for Santa Cruz Guitars, along with violin restoration for local school districts.

Operating from the Pacific Northwest coast range, Deepwood Music offers comprehensive guitar repair services including fretwork, structural repairs, action setups, and intonation adjustments. The shop specializes in antique restoration work and vintage guitar repair, bringing meticulous attention to detail that’s never rushed. Carson also crafts custom boutique guitar builds, often sourcing local Pacific Northwest tonewoods like figured maple burls from the surrounding forests.

Beyond standard guitar setup and calibration services, Deepwood Music provides specialized finish work including nitro finishes, antique finishes, and French polish techniques. Every repair and restoration receives skilled, detail-oriented craftsmanship focused on playability and comfort.
