The real firepower comes from luthier Rossco Wright, who’s been a professional guitar technician since age 19 and operated his own guitar repair business for three decades. Wright served as Authorized Warranty Repair Service for major brands including Martin, Gibson, Fender, Takamine, Ovation, and Alvarez/Yairi. His credentials extend beyond standard guitar setup and fretwork‚he co-invented the SoloEtte Travel Guitar in 1993, building over 5,000 instruments in Eugene while licensing the design to Aria Guitars for mass production.

This combination of Swartz’s broad musical background and Wright’s specialized luthier skills makes Second Street Music a solid destination for instrument repair in the Columbia River Gorge region. The shop also buys, sells, and trades gear, operating as both a repair shop and vintage guitar resource for local musicians.
