Resolution Guitar Repair brings together two passionate technicians with complementary expertise to serve Lake Zurich’s guitar community. Founded in 2021, the shop combines Luke’s jazz guitar background and custom building experience with Ken’s four decades of guitar modification and woodworking mastery.

Luke discovered his calling after completing his bachelor’s in Jazz Guitar, initially building pedals and performing his own guitar repairs out of necessity. After constructing his first Telecaster in 2017, he expanded into full guitar builds while deepening his repair and maintenance skills. His luthier work has proven that instruments at every price point benefit from professional attention.

Ken’s journey began over 40 years ago as a Beatles-inspired teenager who started modifying budget guitars to match the tone of high-end instruments. His career in carpentry and woodworking provided the foundation for meticulous guitar tech work, complemented by years playing in bands and operating a recording studio in the 1980s.

Together, they offer comprehensive services including setups, fretwork, modifications, and complex repairs. Their combined expertise in woodworking and musical performance ensures every instrument receives detailed, personalized attention focused on playability and tone.
