Moxie Music Center has been serving Scottsburg’s musical community from their Main Street location, managed by the Sullivan family‚Kevin, Cindy, and Stephen. While primarily known as a comprehensive music store offering new and used guitars, basses, ukuleles, keyboards, and other stringed instruments, they’ve built their reputation on supporting local musicians through sales, lessons, and instrument services.

The center has grown significantly since opening, expanding from 500 to over 700 square feet by summer 2022, with plans for further expansion. Their expertise extends across multiple instrument categories, with particular focus on orchestra and school band instrument support, making them a valuable resource for students and educators throughout the region. The shop stocks essential maintenance supplies including guitar strings, tuners, and accessories that musicians need for basic instrument upkeep.

Beyond retail, Moxie Music Center offers instruction in guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, and various other instruments, demonstrating their commitment to fostering musical growth in the community. Their rental/group instruction room, added in 2022, provides additional space for musical activities including basic recording and ensemble work.
