Thomas Lieber, the legendary builder behind some of rock music’s most iconic instruments, originally helped create Jerry Garcia’s famous Tiger guitar while apprenticing under Doug Irwin. His workshop has since produced custom boutique guitar builds for an impressive roster of musicians including Paul McCartney, Stanley Clarke, Phil Lesh, John Entwistle, and countless others.

The shop specializes in handcrafted stringed instruments featuring exotic hardwoods like cocobolo and figured maple, with meticulous attention to detail in every aspect from multi-laminate neck construction to proprietary OBEL electronics packages.
