HEL Guitars Mifflintown is the passion project of Shane Huss, a skilled luthier who launched Huss Electric Lutherie (H.E.L.) over a decade ago. His journey into guitar building began with a simple goal: creating an instrument he wanted but couldn’t afford. That first build ignited a career, and that original guitar remains one of his favorites, eventually evolving into the popular Valkyrie series.

Today, HEL Guitars operates as a full-service repair shop serving musicians throughout central Pennsylvania. The shop handles everything from standard guitar setups and fretwork to complex modifications, custom inlay work, and complete refinishing projects. As both a builder and repair technician, Huss brings a builder’s perspective to every instrument that crosses his bench, treating each guitar with the meticulous attention to detail that comes from understanding these instruments from the ground up.
