Guitar Infirmary opened its doors in Auburn, Indiana in December 2006, founded by Jeff, a skilled luthier who trained at the prestigious Galloup School of Lutherie in Big Rapids, Michigan. During his six-month master’s program, Jeff honed his craft by building electric and acoustic guitars entirely by hand, developing the expertise that would become the foundation of his repair shop.

What started as a garage operation has grown into a full-service guitar repair facility that has served the local community and shipped instruments worldwide for over 15 years. The shop specializes in general and specialist repairs, with particular expertise in vintage guitar work and vintage parts servicing. Jeff’s professional background as both a luthier and working musician‚having played in multiple bands including Southbound 65 and The Mighty McGuiggans‚gives him unique insight into what players need from their instruments.

Guitar Infirmary handles all types of stringed instruments, offering everything from routine setups and fretwork to complex restoration projects.
