As a skilled guitar tech and craftsman, Jake hand-winds the majority of his guitar pickups and creates custom wood components like pickup rings and truss rod covers from the same woods used in each build. His expertise in balance, ergonomics, and fretwork ensures that every guitar not only looks stunning but plays exceptionally well. Jake also serves as head luthier for Birdsong Guitars, where he handcrafts the company’s legendary bass designs in 4 and 5 string configurations.
